Benzac is antibacterial medicine, which has a drying effect to wash away oil and dirt symply. Benzac is effective in acne treatment. Your doctor may determine other medical conditions, which Benzac may treat also.
You should avoid abrasive, harsh drying soap or cleansers while using Benzac. The medicine may cause bleaching, so you should avoid contact with clothing and hair. If you use sunscreen containing PABA together with Benzac, you may have temporary skin coloration, so avoid this combination.

When you use Benzac, wash hands before and after applying the topical.

Apply Benzac to clean and dried affected area of skin. Shake the bottle before use. When applying the medicine, avoid eyes area and inside the nose and mouth, lips and damaged areas of the skin. It can worsen the side effects. You should wait until the full skin recovery before using Benzac. After applying the lotion do not cover the areas of the skin, because too much medicine can get to the body and cause harm.

Benzac is usually applied two or 3 times a day.
If you feel burning, dryness, or irritation while using Benzac, inform your drugstore Benzac or the health care provider.
The effect of the drug can appear after several weeks of the treatment, so do not stop taking the medicine, as recommended by your doctor. Store the lotion at room temperature, far from heat and moisture.
Side effects
You may not feel the side effects or experience mild. You should ask for medical help if you feel severe allergic reaction (shortness of breath; closing of the throat; swelling of the lips, face, or tongue; or hives).
You can experience burning, stinging, tingling, itching, redness, dryness, peeling, or irritation. Inform your doctor or Benzac drugstore, if any of these are disturbing and bothersome. You may need less often use of Benzac.
