Brand Toba (Tobramycin) Eye Drop is used to treat eye infections. Toba (Tobramycin) belongs to a class of drugs called aminoglycoside antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This medication treats only bacterial eye infections. It will not work for other types of eye infections. Unnecessary use or overuse of any antibiotic can lead to its decreased effectiveness.
How to use
Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Use tobramycin exactly as directed. Do not use more or less of it or use it more often than prescribed by your doctor. To use the eyedrops, follow these instructions: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. The eye drops usually are applied every 4-8 hours.

Missed Dose
Use the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is less than 6 hours until the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and use only the next regularly scheduled dose. Do not use a double dose of this medication.
Storage
Toba Eye Drop 0.3% may be stored at room temperature (77 degrees Fahrenheit/25 degrees Celsius) for up to 28 days. Avoid exposing ampules of tobramycin to direct light. Do not use tobramycin beyond the expiration date printed on the ampule.
